SamcoPOS (“the Service”), operated by SamKis Labs (“we”, “us”), is a point-of-sale and retail management platform for shops and supermarkets. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and who processes it on our behalf. Contact us at contact@samkislabs.com.

Information we collect

• Merchant & account data — your business name, contact details, and the owner/staff accounts (including cashier logins and PIN/role assignments) you set up.
• Operational data you enter — products, categories, prices, inventory, customers, and the sales/transaction records generated when you use the till.
• Billing data — your subscription tier and status. Card details for your subscription are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
• Technical data — standard server logs and device/session information needed to run and secure the Service.

In-store card payments: where your customers pay by card at the counter, that payment is handled by your own bank/terminal or payment provider. SamcoPOS records the sale; it does not capture or store your customers’ card numbers.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide, secure, and support the Service, run your subscription, sync your data across devices, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your business or transaction data for advertising.

Service providers (sub-processors)

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting for your account and data.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.

Data retention

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. You can delete records within the app, export your data, or request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Your rights

Depending on where you operate, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Email us to exercise these rights and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
